Important Info from the Band Booster Board

DHS Marching Band Parents –
 
We are in preparation for the coming marching season and for band camp.  By this time you should have sent in your first three band dues payments.  Statements were mailed out this weekend so that you can see how much you have paid and how much you still owe.  Please remember, if your student is planning to attend band camp we must have at least $265.00 to cover the cost of camp.  There can be no exceptions unless you have made other arrangements with our Treasurer, John Krieck.  Please also remember our mandatory band parent/student meeting about band camp on Thursday, July 22nd in the Kingswood United Methodist Church Gymnasium at the corner of Tilly Mill & North Peachtree Rd.  We encourage all students to attend, and at least one parent per student must be present.  You will be receiving important band camp information, turning in any forms that are not in, paying any camp fees that are not in, and signing the camp waivers.  It is imperative that you be there. 
 
At this meeting we will also be asking for your child’s DeKalb County Student Number, to use in creating a database that will allow us to better manage all of our band student information.  If you do not already know your child’s Student Number, it can be found on their most recent report card or on their student ID card.
 
Please note that Rookie Camp, Percussion, & Color Guard rehearsal is CANCELLED.
